Hot 'Lanta

Having an awesome time with my sister in Atlanta. Last night we ate pizza at Finelli's and gelato at Paulo's (which was excellent) I forgot my camera (I was so mad) so no pics of that. But we're doing other fun stuff today so I'll take pics of that. It's cool spending time with her since I don't get to do too much of that. She is moving two hours further away from Louisville so I will probably get to see her less now. I wish her well. See you all when I see you!

Save the Date Cards!!!

So I got save the date cards even though I probably didn't need to. But I wanted to. And it's our wedding. So we get to do what we want :) I love them and I'm excited about them. Now I have to mail them all!! Happy hunting today and may your blades never dull.

Tweet a Twit

So I'm trying to get into this Twitter thing. This is the second or third time I've tried. Most of the time, i haven't been able to keep up and I tweeted about once every other day. I'm trying to be a little more diligent and follow along with everybody's tweets. I'm actually not doing too bad. And I've tweeted a proud 68 tweets. Birds in a Truck...Much like Snakes on a Plane

J and I walked out of the house this week and we noticed this....birds....in our neighbor's truck...three robins. We just stopped and our jaws dropped. They were fluttering around against the windows trying to get out. We tried to do our good deed and tell him that birds had used the bathroom all inside his car but he didn't answer the door. The things that I see...*shakes head*

Newwwwburg!!!!

I had a blast from the past. Someone mentioned on my Facebook that when someone's pager went off (I have no idea where he was that someone had a pager) he was tempted to yell out "Neewwwwwwwburg!!!!". I totally forgot we used to say that. And then all the people from Newburg would be mad and ready to fight. Ah...the memories.

Old Friends

So yesterday during lunch, J and I went to the post office on fourth street live. And who did I see standing outside of Friday's but Gary. Gary is a dear friend of mine who I used to serve with at a different Friday's. We haven't stayed in contact but it felt so good to see him. I introduced him to J and it felt so right. We really have to go sit in his section at Friday's. It's funny how you don't realize how much you've missed somebody until you see them sometimes.

Then we walked by a concert on a roof of a store on fourth street. It's Abbey Road! The Beatles celebration. I'm not a fan of the Beatles but it was awesome seeing all the people celebrating. It was a feel good event.

Spice Cake? I made that

I'll post pics when I get home but I made Spice Cake with cream cheese icing after our dinner of chili and cornbread. Mmmmmmmm. Have to feed my sweet tooth sometime. Did I mention I was proud that I can cook? /brush shoulders off

My dog misses us

So I finally decided to take a video of Toby when I come home. He is like this every time we step in the door. Makes me feel loved. :) He used to be really bad with jumping but he's soooo much better.

Chris Needs To Apologize

Just watched Kris sing Apologize by One Republic on American Idol. Sooooo disappointed. I remember that song with fond memories and that memory tonight wouldn't be one of them. Apologize Chris!!!! On a better note: Yay Adam!! He rocks!

Edit: Damn it Kris, you just had to sing Kanye West's Heartless and redeem yourself. You ass.

Two-Speed Toby

I just got back from taking Toby from his nightly walk. As I was walking I was contemplating, my dog only has two speeds; trot and all out run. If he is made to walk for some reason, he looks back at me as if to say, why are you slowing down crazy woman. But in reality, he's probably looking to see if I have any treats. Thanks to him, I am getting regular exercise. Thanks Toby. Now if I can just get him to have some influence on my eating habits.

Happy Mother's Day

I have to take this time to send a Happy Mother's Day Shout out to my one and only mother, Mrs. Cynthia Crocker. I'm a bit biased here but she is THE best Mom in the ENTIRE cosmos. She has been nothing but awesome to me, from welcoming J into the family, and letting Toby roam around her newly redone house (as much as he sheds), to well...I guess...birthing me. I guess that last part is pretty awesome.

I look forward to spending time with her today. She's amazing, and if you don't know her, you are missing something special. Happy Mother's Day, Mom, this is your day!

P.S. Awesome job on the party last night. I'm proud of you!

Grats to Danielle-Kimberly!

Danielle and Kimberly had an AWESOME graduation party last night. Good food, good friends, good time had by all. There were soooooo many people there. Sorry you missed it if you weren't there! You would have gotten to experience the Crocker Family in full swing! All the craziness! I love my family. We are all so close and I wouldn't want it any other way. Pics on my Picasa to come soon whenever I get around to posting them.
